Significantly, Joorabchian, an important figure in Tevez's life, has fallen out with the hierarchy at City following the departure of Hughes and will not be averse to finding Tevez a new club if instructed to do so.
Real Madrid and Inter Milan will be among the contenders to sign him, but there could also be a surprise move from Liverpool, even though their own Champions League hopes are slim.
Well, I hope this isn't true. The infamous Daily Mail interview before the derby underlined Kia Joorabchian's mischievous side and this could well be part of the same thing. I don't know if Tévez is pushing for a new deal, or seeking to put pressure on the board to replace Mancini or what. I'm sure that at some point those players we brought in last summer - Tévez, Gareth Barry, Adebayor - will grow frustrated if they don't reach the Champions League football they anticipated on joining City. But I'd like to think that this won't happen this season.

Joe Bernstein has a reputation of mischief making. The 'source' is always absent.
Gareth Barry would be lucky to deserve Europa league football. City's investment in such overrated players that summer really was such a downfall.
