Manchester Evening News is reporting that City, funded by this new Arab cash, could make a late bid for United target Dimitar Berbatov.
Sky Sports News correspondent Alan Myers is reporting from outside CoMS and he just said: "I would not be surprised at all if City sign a real big name tonight." He mentioned Berbatov or even Michael Owen.
A move for a centre forward is still quite possible, and there would be no better way for Dr al-Fahim to announce his arrival than by shelling out for a big star.
UPDATE 13.28 Alan Myers from outside CoMS reports that 'Sky Sources' tell him that City have tabled a £30million bid for Berbatov.
